Well, yes, now that you mention those mountainous jungle-type areas of the mainland, I suppose there are some larger areas there without the luxury of a Pemex. I just got so used to seeing them on every corner on the mainland (and having a cell signal everywhere I went), that I didn't really consider how remote most of Baja would be without either convenience. But, so far, our Winnies have made it just fine.Lynne (WinnieViews)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17043666828785051719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4260822222423395104.post-73552601842645231962015-01-14T18:24:07.758-06:002015-01-14T18:24:07.758-06:00So fun following your awesome adventures- fantasti...So fun following your awesome adventures- fantastic blog- love it!Tessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08567240651693889933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4260822222423395104.post-91243136239895260862015-01-14T13:56:51.034-06:002015-01-14T13:56:51.034-06:00I am loving this trip down the Baja. It was not unusual to drive 225 miles between stations - so one learned to look for "no fumar" signs (no smoking) as that indicated in tiendas that they sold fuel......many a time I was SO glad to see "no fumar". Ha. There used to be, and still might be one between Patzcuaro, Michoacan and Ixtapa. Haven't been on that road in ten years, so its probably no longer the case. I've got the photo though to prove it! Enjoying your adventures, as always.Babshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16609157345912932083noreply@blogger.com
