Two ladies in the RV2 side of Tres Amigos were celebrating their 60th birthdays. Their husbands decided to go all-out and invite the whole RV park to a bonfire beach birthday party that would feature our favorite band, Los Cryps.

Contessa did a great post the event (with excellent photos by Colin) and found out some interesting background about Mazatlan's "Fab Four." Rather than duplicate their efforts, I decided to bring along my Canon 70D digital SLR camera with a Zoom H1 audio recorder to see if I could capture some audio and video of the evening.
This was my first time trying to shoot video on the 70D with the Zoom attached, so my results were far from pro-quality, but I was pretty impressed that the combo did as well as it did considering the challenging conditions (guys dressed in black suits playing at night on the beach with a strong wind blowing)! Take a look!
Here are also a few audio clips from the event if you'd like to download and listen to them. These guys certainly know how make us old gringos feel like teenagers again! Just the perfect band for the perfect beach party!
